Re: Solution Advocacy Services are services provided by Susan J. Parks, a non-attorney advocate for children, youth, and young adults who are disabled physically, emotionally or mentally. The services include assistance in preparation for and attendance at IEP (Individualized Educational Program) Team and Section 504 meetings.
Ms. Parks has experience and expertise with other school programs such as homeless education, home instruction and parental placement in private schools. Furthermore, Ms. Parks has intimate knowledge of the special education regulations, 504 regulations, Family Education and Privacy Act (FERPA) and special education and Section 504 due process, as well as English as a Second Language, and prevention of and intervention in bullying and harassment in school settings.
Ms. Parks knows that in order for children, youth and young adults with disabilities to receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE), they need to feel valued & respected at school.
